Hey.
I love your idea, I like konfabulator (till yahoo bought them out, still 2.1.1 is great). But I LOOOOOOVE the idea of using html and php for widgets. It is sooooo easy. What you need is a website where people can add there wigets on to the site and share them. Then I think your extension would be mega popular.
Great idea, both brand-wise and usability-wise.
